What is Chi Kung?

IMG_4142This ancient Chinese healing art involves movement forms which follow the Chinese meridians, standing postures, walking meditations and sitting meditations. It explores stillness within movement and movement within stillness. This work helps you to discover your ideal posture and centre of balance. It facilitates movement using minimal muscle activity,  to perform  sport or maintain a still posture with maximum efficiency. This work will help you relax, and be more aware of your areas of tension, gradually increasing your ability to work with these areas and improve them. It will directly and indirectly change your energy levels, (through specific techniques which increase energy “chi” in the body and through the basic increase in energy which accompanies regular practice.)

Chi Kung will allow you to promote preventative health, by boosting your immune system.  Consistent practice will help you reach health and sustain it.
