THE COURSES PROPOSED ARE:
Pre winter season, for snow sports.
These courses are aimed at achieving your maximal sporting ability whatever your level from beginners to professional sport. The focus will be on discovering your centre. All sport depends on knowing your centre, physically and emotionally. This course will start by getting you in touch with your centre and then learning to move from it.
Work will be focused around letting go, softening, minimal effort for maximal results.
We will explore/develop/improve coordination, quality of movement, proprioception, fulcrums of movement and peace of mind.
Work can be individual or team work, feel free to call/email and we can plan the most appropriate structure for you or your groups needs.

Where and when
This year the college of chi kung is organising a retreat in Italy, at Montespertoli in Tuscany. The venue is an old farmhouse, completely restructured in the Chianti area, situated in the village of I tre Santi near the town of Montespertoli. The centre “I tre Santi is situated on the summit of a hill from which there is a stunning view on all sides. Surrounded by 4 hectares of olive trees and vines, there is a salt swimming pool and beautiful terraces. The airports are one hour away in Florence, Sienna and Pisa and the railway station is 10 minutes away, Castelfiorentino.
Cost
The cost for full board and accomodation is 390 euros per person, the teaching is 340 per person so a total of 730 euros per person.

Chi Kung is an ancient Chinese form of movement exercise that promotes the flow of Chi (vital energy) through the body. It translates as energy work in English and comprises exercises for stretching and mobilising the body and joints, breathing techniques, slow movement exercises static postures, special walking methods and meditation.
Chi is the body's vital energy which chi kung builds up to estblish a physiological and psycological harmony. Most of the theory behind Chi Kung is common to Chinese Medicine with which is has a traditional link. Chi kung is also associated with Taoist and Buddhist philosophies and practises.
The retreat will be lead by Thalbert Allen with Sue Reed translating and assisting. Thalbert Allen is a professional Shiatsu practioner and Craniosacral Therapist. He teaches Tai Chi and Chi Kung in UK, Italy and America. He has studied with a variety of teachers and has a background in martial arts. He uses a simple and light approach in an effort to demystify the work.
